Account & Data Deletion

How to request deletion

To request deletion of your Cascade Connect account and the personal information associated with it, email info@cascadeconnect.app from the email address on the account, with the subject line “Account deletion request.”

Please include:

  • The email address associated with your account
  • The builder or warranty company you work with
  • Whether you are a staff user or a homeowner

We verify that the request comes from the account holder before acting on it. You do not need the mobile app installed to make a request.

Who provisions accounts

Cascade Connect is business software licensed to home builders and warranty-management companies. Staff accounts are created and controlled by your employer, and homeowner access is granted by the builder who enrolled your home. Those companies are the controllers of the warranty records held in the platform; Cascade Connect processes that data on their behalf.

If you are a staff user, the fastest route is usually to ask your administrator to remove your account directly. We will honor a request sent to us either way, and will coordinate with the controlling company where their authorization is required.

What is deleted

On completion of a verified request we delete:

  • Your login credentials and authentication records
  • Your user profile — name, email address, phone number, job title, and avatar
  • Your notification preferences and device push tokens
  • Your personal in-app content: notes, task assignments, and chat messages you authored
  • Analytics identifiers tied to you as an individual

What is retained, and why

Some records cannot be deleted on request because they are the business records of the builder or warranty company rather than personal data we are free to erase, or because we are required to keep them:

  • Warranty claims, service orders, and inspection records — these document work performed on a home and are retained by the builder for the life of the warranty and any applicable statute of repose.
  • Communications sent to homeowners or subcontractors — emails and messages that form part of a claim record.
  • Financial and tax records — invoices and payment records, retained as required by law.
  • Security and audit logs — retained on a rolling basis for fraud prevention and incident investigation.

Where a record must be retained, we remove or replace the direct identifiers linking it to you wherever doing so does not destroy the integrity of the warranty record.

Timing

We acknowledge deletion requests within 5 business days and complete verified deletions within 30 days. Retained records are held for the periods described above, after which they are deleted on our normal retention schedule. Encrypted backups are purged on their own rotation, within 90 days.
